Generate images with Qwen-Image 2.1 for free, without an account: the open text-to-image model released by Alibaba's Qwen team, known for sharp detail, faithful prompt following and legible text inside images, in English, Chinese and other languages. The same demo edits an existing picture from a sentence and one or more reference images.

How to use Qwen-Image 2.1

  1. Describe the image as a full sentence; put any text you want rendered between quotes.
  2. To edit instead of create, upload one or more reference images and describe the change.
  3. Choose the aspect ratio if needed, then click Generate and wait for the shared queue: a 1-megapixel image takes tens of seconds.
  4. Download the result, or refine the sentence: the model follows language and layout instructions rather than keyword lists.

Limits and questions

What is Qwen-Image?

Qwen-Image is the image generation family of the Qwen models by Alibaba, released with open weights in 2025. Version 2.1 improves text rendering, layout control and editing from reference pictures, and rewrites your prompt with a companion language model before generating.

How does it compare with FLUX.2 and Stable Diffusion?

Qwen-Image 2.1 and FLUX.2 are large flow-matching transformers with strong prompt adherence and text rendering; Qwen-Image is notably good at Chinese text and at editing. SD 1.5 and SDXL are lighter, run on consumer cards and have far more community fine-tunes.

Why is the demo slow or unavailable?

This demo is hosted by a third party (Hugging Face Space) and embedded here; it can be slow, queued or temporarily unavailable when the host is busy. Nothing to install, no account needed.
